Android devices have specific settings that can at times stop SailPro from functioning correctly. The information below is to designed to show you the steps to ensure your Android device is setup correctly.
1. SailPro location permissions are not set correctly.
For SailPro to operate correctly it requires access to the devices location (gps) and it requires access to this 'all the time' or while it is in operation otherwise it can't determine your speed, COG, track your race etc.
To check that it is correctly set up.
Navigate to your device settings > scroll down and click 'Apps & Notifications' > Click 'SailPro' > click permissions > click 'Location' > click 'Allow all the time'
Once you have done this, please close and restart the app.
Note: Doing this will mean that SailPro will always have access to your device location even when the app is in the background or the display is turned off. If you want to stop the SailPro from calling out the speed or access to the GPS simply 'Close' the app as you would any other app.
2. You have 'Battery Saver Mode' activated.
The pro version of SailPro enables you to activate 'Battery Saver Mode' represented by a small battery in the menu bar at the bottom or from within SailPro settings. If you 'activate' this, SailPro will no longer have access to your devices GPS location and as such will not call out or display speed.
